The design maximizes transparency and visibility, creating a bright and open environment that enhances exterior views and supports interior staff oversight. The library is sited to maximize street presence and visibility, and where the location encountered an existing hill the building opens to the sky, filling the south perimeter with natural light. A palette of warm tones and bamboo millwork is accented with bold fields of blue and yellow that highlight special interior functions.

This simple yet bold design elevates the library’s stature in Garfield Heights as a symbol of advancement in a vibrant community.
